Finding Specters: The Weston House Day 1

It’s about ten o’clock now and I am uploading the first log of our first investigation. We are undertaking an investigation into the Weston home. The home is isolated, large and incredibly dark, it seems like the kind place you would expect to be haunted. It’s old art deco style doesn’t help the appearance either.

The Weston family themselves have been staying with some relatives outside of town. They said they would come down for the weekend so we won’t be expecting them for at least two days. MintZ was, of course, super excited about our first case. He burst through the front door like a madman and immediately set up his sleeping bag on the living room floor. I hung my hammock on the porch and set up a sleeping bag next to his.

After we had brought in all the equipment and set up all the screens it was already 7 or 8 at night. MintZ started complaining about dinner so I began prepping sandwiches in the kitchen. In return, MintZ ran out and began setting up surveillance cameras about the house. This is when something really weird happened. I began to hear foot steps upstairs. At first I thought it was MintZ setting up cameras but then, the walking turned into running. Suddenly it was like three or four people were running down the hall upstairs.

Next thing I knew, MintZ was in the kitchen starring at me. He asked if that was me, I made sure to give him a very unamused glare. Of course not, I told him. He made said he hadn’t even been upstairs yet so it could not have been him. He got the most mischievous smile on his face and proceeded to scream out how this was the best first case ever. He then ran up the stairs to set up the remaining cameras but nothing else has happened over these last few hours.

We aren’t even past night one and as I am writing this, I can feel the air changing. Tonight was going to be big for us, and it is only the beginning.
